Beauty that comes from within
"... clothe yourselves ... the beauty that comes from within ..." - 1 Peter 3:4
The public relations department of a beauty products company asked its customers to send photos along with brief letters describing the prettiest girls they knew.
One caught the attention of officials and was passed to the president. Was written by a boy from a broken home who lived in a poor neighborhood. With many misspellings, a part of his letter said: "A beautiful woman lives in my street. I visit every day. She makes me feel the most important boy in the world. We play checkers and he hears my problems. She understands me. When I go out, she always yells, standing in the door, which is proud of me. "
The boy ended his letter by saying: "This picture shows that she is the most beautiful woman in the world, and one day hope to have a wife as pretty as her." Intrigued, the president asked to see the photo of the woman. His secretary handed him a photograph of a smiling, toothless, elderly, sitting in a rocking chair. The few hairs gray were pulled back in a bun. The lines that formed deep furrows on his face were somewhat diminished by the brilliance of his eyes.
"We can not use this woman," said President smiling. "She would show the world that our products are not required to have beauty."
We were fascinated with the beauty. There are all kinds of competitions to determine Who is the most beautiful woman of all. Advertisers spend money to promote cosmetics. Women spend enormous amounts of money on makeup, fashion clothes, jewelry. However, despite all this attention, what is true about the woman's beauty? What makes it really attractive? The truth is that Peter says that the beauty and strength of women are not overseas. There are more than just clothes. There are more than just ouro.Há more than just hair.
The society promotes the notion that beauty is in external things. You can go for broke in an attempt to beautify the outside and still feel lonely and helpless. God is gracing you with glory, power and majesty. He will send your life who appreciate its true beauty, its real essence. This is the kind of beauty that endures despite the face full of wrinkles, gray hair, feet flat and everything that might appear in your path.
God you're embellishing in his heart. He is putting the glory that will shine through your eyes.
